Like a lot of people Vicki started a yoga practice for the physical fitness benefits**, but she stayed with it for many other reasons.
After being an “on again-off again” yogi for many years she started a regular practice in earnest in 2002 because she was working “crazy hours” and wanted a way to wind down and find more balance. In 2010, She took a yoga teacher training course to help her “do yoga right” and fell in love with yoga and teaching. And she has been teaching yoga ever since.
Vicki is a 500-hour Registered Yoga Instructor (RYT-500), a Level II iRest® Meditation Teacher and a Stephen’s Minister. She has advanced training in teaching yoga and meditation for depression, muscular dystrophy, and aging populations. She also has advanced training for teaching yoga and meditation for trauma and PTSD through Warriors at Ease.
She has studied with a variety of teachers focusing on the therapeutic and healing benefits of yoga and meditation including Amy Weintraub, Rodney Yee, Stephanie Lopez, Robin Carnes, Karen Stoltes, Ray Long, Marc Halpern and Doug Keller. Vicki also draws inspiration from Donna Farhi.
Vicki is passionate about bringing you the opportunity to experience the healing benefits of yoga and meditation for yourself. Her classes offer students a chance to explore, play and experience themselves in a new way, all the while building strength, confidence, new understanding and grace.

**Vicki has spondelolisthesis, where a two vertabrae are separated in the spine, and arthritis in her neck. Yoga helps her maintain life without pain. But, more importantly, yoga helps keep Vicki centered so that when tough situations arise (which they will), she can respond from a place of loving-kindness, rather than with anger or some other rough emotion. We all have our own stories, but the story doesn't have to prevent us from moving forward in a kind-hearted way. Let's take our next steps forward in grace, peace and Love.
